Death

Thu Jan 25, 2007, 7:45 AM
We believe that we live.
But what is life?
How do we know we are living?
For something to be, it must be in relation to its absence.
Life can only exist if death does as well.
How then can life be proven?
Through Death.
How cruelly ironic.

The Return

Sun May 7, 2006, 10:57 PM
It has been quite some time since my recent activity on DeviantArt, and I am very pleased to return this this wonderful community.

Many things have been going on in my life during the past few months. First off, I really messed up my laptop while attempting to install Ubuntu Linux. During this, I lost all of my files and of course my photogrpahs. I managed to recover most of them after hours at work with recovery programs, though some were lost forever. Know that my laptop is back up and running I plan to upload some of the photographs that I had meant to for some time.

Also recently, I entered a photography contest hosted by my local school district. The contest required that you build a website to display a portrait, "outdoor," computer manipulated and an open category photograph.

For the portrait photograph I had to shoot my first ever portrait scene, using myself as the subject. The image I chose to submit in that category was this one:

The "outdoor" category was filled with this photogrpah (which I made darker for the site and updated to Deviant Art) , one of my absolute favorites:

The computer manipulated entry was a difficult one for me as it is not something I do often, it's just not my style. That image can be seen here:

The open category was filled with an older photograph of mine, but also one of my favorites:

A screenshot of the website itself can be seen here:

I also attended a provincial skills competition where I competed in the website design category, but that is another story for another journal.

Cheers.
